Reuters Health - 07/03/2022 - Women who suffer from long or irregular menstrual cycles may be at increased risk for nonalcoholic fatty-liver disease (NAFLD), independent of obesity, according to a study of women in South Korea.  "Previous studies have shown that long or irregular menstrual cycles are associated with type 2 diabetes and cardiovascular disease, but our study is the first to find a link between long or irregular menstrual cycles and NAFLD," Dr. Seungho Ryu of Kangbuk Samsung Hospital, Sungkyunkwan University School of Medicine in Seoul, said in a news release.  Dr. Ryu and colleagues did a cross-sectional analysis of data on 72,092 women younger t...
