Reuters Health - 01/02/2022 - Pediatric patients with functional abdominal pain or IBS may experience less pain and require fewer medications when placebos are prescribed, a new study suggests.  A pilot study of 30 pediatric patients with abdominal pain found that nearly three-quarters of the children reported a 30% improvement in pain, and half experienced a 50% improvement in pain when placebos were prescribed, researchers report in JAMA Pediatrics.
